Role Overview
The Lead Associate of the Corp Accounting will have experience, and a proven track record in, the confidence and ability to make critical decisions while operating with considerable autonomy, as well as the ability to execute strategy, and prioritize activities. The individual integrates in-depth ASC 715 & 718 area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.

 

Profile Description
•    Manage accounting for defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
•    Prepare and review pension journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures.
•    US Retirement Plans like Pension and 401k
•    Annuity and lump sum payment process
•    Analyzing, Forecasting, and Reporting
•    Collaborate with actuaries, auditors, and HR teams for compliance and reporting.
•    Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
•    Prepare and review footnote disclosures for 10-K/10-Q filings.
•    Support audit processes and internal controls over financial reporting.

 

Desired Experience and Skillset

•    Charted Accountant, bachelor's degree in accounting with 2 years of experience.
•    Experience in managing accounting processes and review.
•    Good understanding of insurance accounting, understanding on basic too complex to technical accounting, good working knowledge and understanding on GAAP & STAT reporting, understanding and working experience on reinsurance processes.
•    Manage and develop talent.
•    Promote the career development planning process.
•    Ensure that a high level of quality control and management review.
•    Effective verbal and written communications skills
•    Good proficient in the use of common business applications such as Excel, Word, Access, Outlook.
•    LEAN or Six Sigma certification will be preferred
•    Power BI certification
