Profile Summary:

This role will serve as the escalation point for Redis platform operations, ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, security, and compliance for mission-critical enterprise workloads.

Profile Description:

The SME will drive architecture, daily operations, lifecycle management, automation, and best practices, while partnering with engineering, DevOps, and application teams Knowledge & Experience:

Primary:

Should have good knowledge in Kubernetes platforms like (Red Hat, Openshift, ARO, AKS, EKS, etc Red Hat/Istio Service Mesh Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps, Artifactory and XLDeploy
Evaluate and enable Redis Enterprise modules (RedisJSON, RediSearch, RedisTimeSeries, RedisBloom, RedisAI, RedisGraph).
Deploy Redis platforms using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes Operators, and ARM templates
Configure multi-tenant Redis clusters with namespace isolation, ACLs, and RBAC
Conduct load testing/benchmarking (redis-benchmark, memtier_benchmark)
Plan and execute capacity expansion, scaling, and migrations (on-prem ↔ cloud).
Maintain backward compatibility across Redis versions.
Conduct workshops and KT sessions for engineers and developers.
Evaluate new Redis Enterprise and Azure features and recommend adoption

Cloud Platforms: Azure Cache for Redis (Standard, Premium, Enterprise, Enterprise Flash), Redis Enterprise (on-prem & cloud), AWS ElastiCache, GCP Memorystore Application servers (JBoss, JWS)
Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, Azure Monitor, ELK/EFK
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
Security & Key Management: Azure Key Vault, AWS KMS, HashiCorp Vault.

Additional requirements:

• 7+ years hands-on Redis Enterprise and Azure Cache for Redis in production.

• Proven ability to manage large-scale, mission-critical Redis environments.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.

• Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across engineering, DevOps, and security teams.

• Preferred: Redis Certified Administrator/Developer, Azure or AWS cloud certifications

• Knowledge on Redshift and Postgres
